Somizi and Mohale started their own foundation, and their first project saw them helping families in need
Somizi and Mohale have started their very own foundation, and their first project saw them handing out food vouchers to families in need during the national lockdown.
The couple shared the info on a separate Instagram page they started for their organisation.
"We came up with this amazing idea where we decided to start a foundation, and we call it the Somhale Foundation, and our aim is to make this world a better place one person at a time," Somizi says in a video clip shared on the account.
He further explained: "We're giving away R500 worth of vouchers that we bought at Makro so that they can buy themselves groceries, and we've chosen 400 families."
The couple split the vouchers between 200 families in Ekurhuleni, east of Gauteng, and 200 families in Freedom Park, in the south of Johannesburg.
In the clip, Somizi encouraged those who want to contribute toward future projects to approach their foundation.
The Somhale Foundation also shared pictures from their first initiative on Instagram.
